Treatment of chronic refractory cough through identification of the only core symptom hidden in many symptoms by Professor Tong Xiaolin
摘要
Abstract
Professor Tong Xiaolin's theory of identification of the only core symptom hidden in many symptoms(Du Cang)emphasizes capturing the"Du Cang"symptom that reveals the core pathogenesis of the disease among many symptoms.Chronic refractory cough involves complex pathogenesis,and accurately identifying the core symptom is key to rapid treatment based on syndrome differentiation.By focusing on the"excessive salivation"symptom as the"Du Cang"symptom among the accompanying symptoms of chronic refractory cough,this syndrome is accompanied by chills,fatigue,loose stools,and a swollen tongue with teeth marks,pointing to the core pathogenesis of spleen-kidney yang deficiency and water overflowing,thus distinguishing it from other various syndromes.Treatment focuses on addressing the pathogenesis,adopting the methods of warming spleen and stomach for dispelling cold,benefiting qi and strengthening spleen,and tonifying the kidney to reduce excessive saliva,using Fuzi Lizhong decoction with good therapeutic efficacy.关键词
