Li Jiansheng's experience in the treatment of idiopathic membranous nephropathy with the method of invigorating the kidney and promoting blood circulation for removing obstruction in collaterals

Abstract
Idiopathic membranous nephropathy(IMN)is characterised by the deposition of immune complexes in the glomerular basement membrane,and conventional treatment has problems such as high drug dependence and high recurrence rate.Based on the pathogenesis of"kidney deficiency and blood stasis",combined with the theory of"state-target combination"of Academician Tong Xiaolin,Professor Li Jiansheng founds the method of invigorating the kidney and promoting blood circulation for removing obstruction in collaterals.This method centers on the modified warming yang and tonifying kidney formula(astragalus,leeches,etc.)combined with acupuncture therapy,and it synergistically regulates the abnormal immune response and improves the microcirculation of the glomeruli through the methods of tonifying the spleen and kidneys,clearing dampness-heat,and expelling blood stasis and dredging channels.Clinical studies have confirmed its efficacy in reducing urinary protein and stabilising renal function,providing a new integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment strategy for IMN.关键词
