摘要

Abstract

[Objective]By monitoring the number of species,height,coverage,aboveground biomass,number of new seedlings,and root length of Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland in the study area,the restoration effect of different restoration measures on degraded Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland was discussed.Aimed to pro-vide reference for the protection and restoration of degraded Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland in the Ili area of Xinjiang.[Method]The study was conducted in in Nileke County,focusing on moderately degraded Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland.Treatments included grazing prohibition(PG),delayed grazing(DG),free grazing(FG)as management regimes,along with shallow harrow reseeding(SH)and furrow reseeding(DR)as restoration interventions.Adjacent non-treated plots(CK)served as controls.[Result]The results showed that:(1)Under dif-ferent restoration measures,the plant composition and species number of Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland did not change significantly;(2)The height,coverage,aboveground biomass,and number of new seedlings of Seriphi-dium transiliense desert grassland,in moderate degradation state,were significantly increased after grazing prohibition for 2a,and could be restored to a non-degraded state.(3)Delayed grazing during two spring grazing seasons signifi-cantly increased plant height and aboveground biomass of Seriphidium transiliense,but the total coverage of grassland vegetation did not significantly improve overall,leaving the grassland in a moderately degraded state.(4)After 2 years of continuous grazing in the free grazing area,the vegetation height,total coverage and aboveground biomass de-creased,resulting in a shift from moderate to severe degradation.(5)In severely degraded grassland,both shallow harrow reseeding and furrow reseeding increased the number of native vegetation constructive species,but under drought conditions,in the short term(1 a),it failed to achieve significant restoration effect.Compared with SH,DR improved seedling survival and root development,showing superior restoration effectiveness.[Conclusion]Grazing prohibition has a significant role in promoting the restoration of degraded Seriphidium transiliense desert vegetation.Delayed grazinghas only gradual restorative effects,requiring long-term implementation.In the absence of grazing management,continuous grazing will increase the risk of grassland degradation.Under the condition of insufficient precipitation,reseeded seedlings face low survival in Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland,with shallow rake alone achieving only 9.4%survival,whereas combined with DR the survival rate of seedlings increased to 25%.Overall,grazing prohibition and furrow reseeding measures can promote the restoration of degraded Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland.
