Abstract
High nitrogen austenitic stainless welded joints were obtained by multi-strand composite welding wire and single wire,respectively,and microstructure and mechanical property of welded joints were investigated.Results revealed that ro-tating arc shape is formed for multi-strand composite welding wire,and welding process of that has higher heat input and cooling rate,which results in larger coarse grain zone along the fusion line and finer columnar austenite grain.Tensile testing shows that multi-strand composite welding wire welded joint has higher yield strength,tensile strength and elongation,which are improved by 46.5%,42.3%and 7%compared with single wire welded joint,respectively.Furthermore,twins strengthening mechanism of weld seam is revealed,and multi-strand composite welding wire weld seam has higher fraction of twins.However,brittle zone formed by continuous carbides is found in weld seam of single wire,which greatly reduces the strength and ductility of single wire welded joint.关键词
