摘要

Abstract

Barley was treated with different concentrations of welan oligosaccharides under abiotic stress,and the effects of welan oligosaccharides on the growth and physiological and biochemical indexes of barley seedlings were determined.The results showed that when 5%polyethylene glycol(PEG)was used to simulate drought stress and 10 mg/L of welan oligosaccharides were applied,the plant height and root length of seedlings were significantly increased by 10.93%and 7.18%,respectively.The activities of catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were increased by 11.76%,21.06%and 37.19%,respectively,while the lipid peroxidation levels(MDA)of barley decreased by 24.60%.The contents of soluble protein and soluble sugar increased by 30.96%and 16.69%.Under 100 mmol/L NaCl simulated salt stress and 10 mg/L of welan oligosaccharides,the plant height and root length were increased by 15.73%and 38.64%,respectively.The activities of catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were increased by 9.30%,30.79%and 18.49%,respectively,while the antioxidant activity of barley membrane lipid decreased by 12.55%.The contents of soluble protein and soluble sugar increased by 17.99%and 18.87%,respectively.The results indicated that welan oligosaccharides could enhance the stress resistance of barley under drought and salt stress.
