Decision-making Methods for Electrolytic Aluminum Enterprises Participating in the Electricity-Carbon Market,Considering the Joint Trading of Green Certificates and Carbon Emissions

Abstract
As global climate issues become increasingly severe,reducing carbon emissions has become a common goal for countries worldwide.Electrolytic aluminum enterprises,as major energy consumers,contribute significantly to carbon emissions.Thus,it is imperative to reduce these emissions without affecting aluminum production.As an emerging market-based emission reduction tool,the combined green certificate-carbon trading mechanism provides a new opportunity for electrolytic aluminum enterprises to participate in the electricity-carbon market.This paper explores how electrolytic aluminum enterprises can leverage this novel market mechanism to make decisions in the context of demand response participation,thereby enhancing both economic and environmental benefits.First,the production process of electrolytic aluminum is introduced,along with the demand response and revenue models for these enterprises.Next,the principles of tiered carbon trading and green certificate trading markets are studied,focusing on the carbon reduction mechanism of green certificates.A combined green certificate-tiered carbon trading mechanism is proposed,where the interaction between green certificates and carbon trading is used to achieve energy-saving and carbon reduction goals for electrolytic aluminum enterprises.Finally,a model for their participation in the electricity-carbon market is constructed to maximize the total revenue of electrolytic aluminum enterprises,considering the interaction between carbon trading and green certificate trading.The numerical case results demonstrate that this method effectively reduces the carbon emission costs of electrolytic aluminum enterprises and increases their total revenue.关键词
