Research on channel estimation and equalization method in OQAM-DSM optical communication system

Abstract
To address the issue of slow convergence speed in channel estimation for offset quadrature amplitude modulation digital subcarrier multiplexing(OQAM-DSM)systems,a novel channel estimation and equalization method is proposed.This method designs a new type of pilot symbol that enables accurate estimation of dispersion under arbitrary polarization states.The estimated dispersion value is then used to preset the time delay for each subcarrier and the tap coefficients of the butterfly filter.Simulation results for 140 GBaud 16OQAM-DSM and experimental results for 40 GBaud 16OQAM-DSM demonstrate that the proposed method reduces the required number of filter taps to one-third of that required by conventional methods,shortens the convergence time to less than 20 ns,and improves the overall system performance after convergence.关键词
