Abstract
To investigate the effects of nitrogen fertilizer application on maize yield and economic benefits in the yellow soil area of central Guizhou,a field experiment with fixed nitrogen application rates was conducted at two experimental sites in this region.Four treatments were established for no nitrogen application(ck),70%optimized fertilization(T1),conventional fertilization(T2),and 130%optimized fertilization(T3).The yield and economic benefits were analyzed.The results showed that increasing nitrogen application increased yield by 2.8%to 47.3%,while the 70%optimized fertilization treatment con-tributed to higher hundred-kernel weight and plant height.Considering yield,economic benefits,and ecological environmen-tal protection,the 70%optimized fertilization approach was recommended for maize cultivation in the yellow soil area of cen-tral Guizhou.This strategy can effectively reduce nitrogen fertilizer waste,prevent non-point source pollution,lower produc-tion costs,and improve economic efficiency.关键词
