Abstract

Traditional honeycomb structures exhibit inadequate performance and poor energy absorption characteristics when subjected to impact loads.Based on Abaqus finite element software,the influence of structural parameters on energy absorption characteristics,peak collision forces,and deformation modes of concave annular honeycomb structures is explored,and a variable parameter gradient structure is designed.The research results show that changes in structural parameters directly affect the dynamic performance and deformation mode of the structure,among which changes in cell wall thickness parameters have a significant impact on the dynamic performance of the structure.In single parameter structural gradient design,it is found that the positive gradient structure design of cell wall thickness significantly reduces the peak collision force amplitude of the structure,while the negative gradient structure design of cell radius is beneficial for improving the energy absorption efficiency of the structure.The newly designed dual parameter coupled gradient structure couples two parameter gradients and finds that the coupling structure design of thickness positive gradient and radius negative gradient combines the advantages of the two structural parameters,with high specific energy absorption and low peak collision force.Compared with the non gradient honeycomb structure,its peak collision force is reduced by 47.78%,and the specific energy absorption is increased by 9.56%,which is conducive to improving the engineering applicability of the structure.
