Abstract

Tool setting and parameter configuration are essential skills for CNC operators,as the accuracy of tool setting directly impacts product quality and machining efficiency.The operational processes of different tool setting methods for CNC lathes and CNC milling machines are simulated dynamically in 3D using advanced simulation software.Meanwhile,the tool setting methods for the X-axis,Y-axis,and Z-axis of CNC milling machines,as well as their application scenarios,are elaborated in detail,and the accuracy of tool setting is verified.In the virtual simulation system,a variety of 3D virtual machine tools with different operating systems,workpiece blanks of different sizes and types,and various tool setting tools can be selected to simulate the tool setting operation process of machine tools,so as to check for potential operational errors and collisions.Research shows that the use of virtual simulation can improve the proficiency and accuracy of tool setting,and avoid collisions and misoperation.In CNC teaching,adding relevant virtual simulation links can significantly improve the performance of CNC machining,enrich teaching links,and realize a flipped classroom where students are mainly engaged in learning and practicing while teachers play an auxiliary role in teaching.In enterprise production,providing relevant simulation skill training for new employees can also improve their skill levels,help enterprises save production costs,and create a certain value.
