Migration and Distribution of Objects in Steam Generators Secondary Side at Pressurized Water Reactor Nuclear Power Plants

Abstract
To mitigate the risk that objects infiltration into the secondary side of steam generators could induce abrasion or impact damage to heat transfer tubes,thereby compromising the reliability of nuclear safety barriers,this investigation methodically examined the origins and migration pathways of such objects.By conducting a comparative analysis of sta-tistical data on foreign objects in nuclear power plant steam generators across domestic and international contexts,the study elucidated the correlation between the deposition patterns on the tube sheet and local flow field characteristics.Results revealed that incidents of objects domestically reported remained substantially elevated in recent years,implementing a"defense-in-depth"strategy may prove more efficacious in precluding entry.Moreover,the likelihood of objects accumulation above the tube sheet exhibited a direct positive correlation with regional flow velocity.Overall,the distribution profile demonstrated that peripheral zones with maximal flow velocities accounted for over half of the deposits,while interior regions characterized by diminished velocities contributed proportionally less.This research furnishes guidance for subsequent endeavors,including stratified management of objects,video-based inspection protocols,and wear evaluation.关键词
