Theoretical Construction and Practical Path of Family Resilience in China under the Perspective of"Home Culture"

Abstract
Against the backdrop of inheriting and evolving"home culture",Chinese family resilience,distinct from the rationalism and technicalism inherent in Western family resilience,anchors the theoretical foundation in ethical relationships.These relationships encompass five key dimensions:spousal bonds characterized by the integration of affection and righteousness,intergenerational ties rooted in paternal kindness and filial piety,sibling relationships built on fraternal love,friendships forged through shared principles and trust,and the interconnected relationship between family and nation that mutually sustains and reinforces each other.Building on this framework,Chinese families have developed a"three-tier collaborative"resilience system:the core tier derives its driving force from the empowerment of"home culture";the middle tier centers on the agency of ethical relationships;and the outer tier consists of a protective network established by national institutions.With the development of China's family resilience system,the social work practice pathway has evolved into a"four-stage cyclical intervention process"of"cultural diagnosis,strength assessment,strategy adaptation,and outcome feedback",thereby assisting vulnerable households in achieving an overall transition from resilience to development,from deficiency to capability,and from family origins to returning to the family.关键词
