Arousal of Filial Piety:the Generation Logic of Elderly Care Support in Rural Multi-Child Families:Taking Village L in Anhui as an Example

Abstract
How rural elderly effectively obtain elderly support from their children is an issue yet to be explored.This study takes the elderly practice of a rural multi-child family as a case study,and conducts an analysis on the strategies adopted by the elderly to obtain support from their children as well as the underlying operational logic.The study finds that the elderly will adopt corresponding action strategies to acquire elderly support resources,including mediation and negotiation in the face of children who shirk their responsibilities,circuitous compromise in the face of children who provide elderly support passively,and comfort and reassurance in the face of children who provide active support.The arousal of filial piety constitutes the underlying operational logic behind the elderly's action strategies,through which the elderly are able to obtain support from their children.Emotional connection,the concept of filial piety,and village public opinion are important influencing factors for the operation of filial piety arousal logic.This study is helpful to expand the theoretical understanding of elderly support practices in rural multi-child families.关键词
