Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the prevalence of temporomandibular disorders(TMD)and investigate its associa-tion with sleep disorders in Chinese adults.Methods:A cross-sectional study of 411 participants was conducted using valida-ted Chinese versions of the FAI,PSQI,and PHQ-4 scales to assess TMD,sleep quality,and psychological status.Statistical analyses included chi-square tests,Spearman's correlation,logistic regression,and stratified interaction analyses.Results:The prevalence rates of TMD and sleep disorders were 32.8%and 60.3%,respectively.Sleep disorders exhibited a signifi-cant positive correlation with TMD(r=0.207,P<0.05).Participants with sleep disorders had a 2.6-fold increased risk of TMD[OR=2.6,95%CI(1.7,4.1)]and were independently associated with pain-related TMD[PT;OR=1.8,95%CI(1.2,2.7)],but not with intra-articular TMD(IT).Conclusion:Sleep disorders are strongly linked to elevated TMD risk,particu-larly PT,in Chinese adults.关键词
