Effects of different hybrid combinations on the growth performance and carcass traits of Zhuanghe Dagu Chickens

Abstract
The study aims to explore the effects of different hybrid combinations on the growth performance,body size index,growth rate and slaughter performance of Zhuanghe Dagu chicken.Three hybrid combinations of Zhuanghe Dagu chickens were selected for the experiment,namely the homozygous group:self-pollination was carried out on Zhuanghe Dagu chickens of the same strain(green leg),without trait segregation.The hybrid F1 generation group:F1 generation of green-legged and hairy Zhuanghe Dagu chickens obtained through crossbreeding of different strains(green-legged×hairy)of Zhuanghe Dagu chickens.The backcross group:The green-legged and hairy Zhuanghe Dagu chickens bred through backcrossing between the F1 generation(green-legged,hairy)and the homozygous group(green-legged).For each combination,30 chickens are selected,three replicates in each group and 10 chickens in each replicate.Each group was fed with the same diet.The pre-test period is one week and the formal test period is eight weeks.The results showed that the average daily weight gain of the hybrid F1 generation group was significantly higher than that of the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05),the average daily feed intake was significantly higher than that of the homozygous group(P<0.05),and the feed conversion ratio was significantly lower than that of the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05).The feed-to-gain ratio of the backcross group was significantly lower than that of the homozygous group(P<0.05).The body weight,tibial length,oblique body length and chest circumference of the Dagu chickens in the hybrid F1 generation group were significantly higher than those in the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05),and the chest depth was significantly higher than that in the homozygous group(P<0.05).The body weight,tibial length,chest depth,oblique body length and chest circumference in the backcross group were higher than those in the homozygous group(P<0.05).During the entire experimental period,the weekly weight gain of the hybrid F1 generation group was significantly higher than that of the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05),and the backcross group was significantly higher than the homozygous group(P<0.05).The post-slaughter body weight,semi-clear chamber weight,full clear chamber weight and slaughter rate of the hybrid F1 generation group were significantly higher than those of the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05),and the backcross group was significantly higher than the homozygous group(P<0.05).The pectoral muscle rate and leg muscle rate in the hybrid F1 generation group were significantly higher than those in the homozygous group and backcross group(P<0.05),and the backcross group was significantly higher than the homozygous group(P<0.05).Research shows that it is recommended to give priority to the F1 generation as the main hybrid combination in actual production to enhance the growth performance and economic benefits of Zhuanghe Dagu chicken.关键词
