Abstract

In order to reduce the number of trial knitting in circular weft machines and solve the shortage of experienced workers,a theoretical model of tension and process parameters during yarn knitting was constructed.The model divided the yarn transmission path into 4 zones,and used the Amontons principle to obtain the yarn tension transfer relationship between different zones.According to the principle that the yarn feeding volume and the loop-forming yarn consumption must be equal in order to make the knitting proceed normally,the computational expressions for the yarn tension in knitting zone and the process parameters such as the yarn feeding speed,the yarn bending depth,the initial tension were established.On this basis,the actual knitting and yarn tension measurement of 17 groups of processes were carried out,and the theoretical average values of yarn tension were compared and analyzed with the measured average values.The results show that the difference between the theoretical average values and the measured average valuesis within±3.00 cN,and they are basically consistent with the change trend of process parameters,thus proves the accuracy of the theoretical model.The model provides a more efficient calculation method for the setting of process parameters in the production process.
