Abstract
In the production of fatty alcohol polyethylene glycol ethers,in addition to generating target products with varying degrees of ethylene oxide polymerization,a small amount of polyethylene glycol(PEG)is also formed as a byproduct.In this study,orthogonal experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of key factors—including the moisture content in the chain initiator,type and dosage of catalyst,reaction temperature,ethylene oxide concentration during the reaction,and reaction time—on the PEG content in fatty alcohol polyethylene glycol ether products(AEO₂).The results showed that the optimal process conditions for controlling the PEG mass fraction are as follows:sodium hydroxide as catalyst at 0.08%(based on product weight);dehydration at 103 ℃ for 80 min under vacuum pressure<0.6 kPa,ensuring a pre-treatment moisture content≤0.07%;reaction temperature maintained at 153 ℃ and reaction time of 90 min.Under these conditions,the PEG content in the final AEO₂ product can be effectively controlled below 0.7%.关键词
