摘要

Abstract

Objective To establish a prognostic prediction model for Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)ESCC patients using characteristics of cancer-associated fibroblast(CAF)CAF obtained from single-cell sequencing analysis.Methods Single-cell sequencing data for ESCC,including 70 tumor and 8 normal tissue samples,were obtained from the datasets GSE160269,GSE196756,and GSE188900.We utilized the Findallmarkers function to identify all CAF's subpopulations for studying their roles in ESCC.Subsequently,the coxph function from the survival R package was employed to construct a proportional hazards model(Cox model).A prognostic model was then developed using this approach to predict patient survival rates.Results CAF exhibited a significant change in their proportions within ESCC tumor samples compared to normal samples.They were categorized into seven subgroups,each with distinct biological functions.We constructed a prognostic prediction model using the risk factors that are derived from CAF.This model can distinguish high-risk individuals from low-risk individuals.Conclusion This study unveils the molecular characteristics of CAF in ESCC and constructs a prognostic model with good predictive performance through the analysis of their characteristic genes.
