摘要

Abstract

Plant root decomposition is the main underground process of nutrient cycling in grassland,and which is a vital source of grassland soil carbon and nutrients in grassland ecosystems.In order to evaluate the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on the decomposition of dominant plants root in temperate desert steppe,we used mesh bag method to test the effects of AMF on the root decomposition of Stipa breviflora in situ.The results showed that after 360 days of decomposition,AMF significantly increased the amount and rate of S.breviflora litter loss.During the process of root decomposition,AMF significantly decreased the contents of soil available nitrogen,ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen,but had few effects on soil available phosphorus content.AMF significantly increased the content of β-1,4-glucosidase in mycelium bags,but had no significant effect on that of cellobiose hydrolase.Root loss rate was positively correlated with AMF hyphal density,the contents of β-1,4-glucosidase content and cellulobiose hydrolase,but was negatively correlated with the content of soil inorganic nitrogen.Preliminary results of the trial indicate that the external hyphae of AMF can participate in plant root decomposition process in temperate desert steppe,and is a vital biological factor which could accelerate root decomposition for S.breviflora.
