Chief physician WANG Longde's Experience in Treating Acne from the Spleen and Stomach

Abstract
Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease that frequently occurs in young men and women and is a common condition in dermatology.It often appears on the face,chest,and back,and can lead to the formation of blackheads,papules,pustules,nodules,and cysts.This disease has a certain degree of disfigurement and is prone to recurrence,seriously affecting the physical and mental health of patients.Chief physician WANG Longde believes that the spleen and stomach are the key to the pathogene-sis of acne.Among the five internal organs,the spleen and stomach are fundamental.The spleen governs the muscles,and acne is often caused by"damage to the spleen and stomach and invasion of pathogenic factors into the muscle tissue".Chief physician Wang Longde believes that the traditional Chinese medicine etiology and pathogenesis of this disease may be due to internal injury to the spleen and stomach,failure of transformation and transportation,and water-dampness obstruction;or damage to the spleen yang,excessive heat in the stomach,and imbalance between dryness and dampness;or accumulation of damp-heat,de-ficiency of the earth element,and upward invasion of the lung.Eventually,pathogenic factors are blocked and manifest in the skin,resulting in acne.Chief physician Wang Longde treats acne based on the theory of the spleen and stomach,emphasizing"treating the root cause and paying attention to the spleen and stomach".The treatment focuses on strengthening the spleen and e-liminating dampness,supplemented by methods such as clearing heat,promoting digestion,resolving blood stasis,regulating qi,and tonifying deficiency.Different formulas are selected based on different syndrome types such as spleen deficiency with damp-ness obstruction,mixed cold and heat,and damp-heat accumulation,including modified Pingwei Powder,Banxia Xiexin De-coction,and Zhishi Daozhi Pills.The aim is to identify the cause based on the symptoms and treat both the symptoms and the root cause,achieving significant clinical results.This article summarizes Chief physician Wang Longde's clinical experience in treating acne from the perspective of the spleen and stomach,with the hope of providing a reference for clinical practice.Two medical cases are attached at the end to support the discussion.关键词
