Exploration of Professor FENG Guangkui's Experience in Treating Facial Paralysis with Clearing Heat and Detoxification Method

Abstract
Facial paralysis,as a common clinical disease,has a relatively high clinical incidence rate,and the clinical cure rate needs to be improved.Western medicine treatment may cause various adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting.Tradi-tional Chinese medicine treatment has the characteristics of multiple components,multiple pathways and multiple targets.At the same time,combined with syndrome differentiation and treatment,it can effectively exert the therapeutic effect on facial paralys-is.Professor FENg Guangkui believes that in treating facial paralysis,a careful syndrome differentiation should be made.Based on the information from the syndrome differentiation,appropriate traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions should be selected.In clinical practice,Professor Feng Guangkui found that the occurrence of facial paralysis is closely related to the invasion of heat toxins and the obstruction of meridians.The common syndrome type is the accumulation of heat toxins.The treatment principle is to clear heat,detoxify and unblock the meridians.Huanglian Jiedu Decoction(黄连解毒汤),modified Yinqiao Powder(银翘散)or Puji Xiaodu Decoction(普济消毒饮)are often used for treatment,and satisfactory clinical results have been achieved.Therefore,this study will summarize Professor Feng Guangkui's experience in treating facial paralysis with the method of clearing heat and detoxifying,providing a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of facial paralysis.关键词
