Study on the Influence of New Quality Productivity on the Construction of a Beautiful Countryside Suitable for Living and Working

Abstract
New quality productivity,as an advanced form of productivity that conforms to the new development concept,is an important force in promoting the construction of a beautiful countryside suitable for living and working.Based on the data of 30 provinces in China from 2014 to 2023,this paper studies the effect of new quality productivity on the construction of a livable,business-friendly and beautiful countryside by using benchmark regression models,mediation effect models,and spatial Durbin models.The research findings are shown as below:New quality productivity can promote the construction of a beautiful country-side suitable for living and working,and this conclusion still holds after robustness and endogeneity tests.The mediation effect test results show that the new quality productivity promotes the construction of a livable,business-friendly and beautiful countryside through three channels:expanding non-agricultural employment scale,promoting rural industrial upgrading,and promoting the modernization of rural governance.The mediation effect of the path of rural industrial upgrading is the most significant.Heteroge-neity test finds that compared with the central,western,northeastern regions and areas with low urbanization levels,the positive impact of new quality productivity on the construction of a livable,business-friendly and beautiful countryside is more significant in the eastern region and areas with high urbanization levels.The spatial spillover effect test results show that new quality produc-tivity can not only promote the construction of a beautiful,livable and business-friendly countryside,but also facilitate the con-struction of such a countryside in the surrounding areas.关键词
