Green Finance Empowering the Development of New Quality Productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt:Theoretical Analysis and Empirical Test

Abstract
Based on the basic connotation and essential characteristics of new quality productivity,this paper constructs an evaluation index system for new quality productivity,then uses the entropy weight method to calculate the development level of new quality productivity of 107 prefecture-level and above cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and finally empirically ex-amines the impact of green finance on the new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The results go as the fol-lowing:(1)Green finance has significantly enhanced the development level of new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Eco-nomic Belt.After conducting robustness tests such as replacing the dependent variable,using the difference-in-differences meth-od,and adjusting the sample,this conclusion remains valid.(2)The results of impact mechanism test show that green finance has jointly promoted the development of new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt by improving the level of urban green technology innovation and optimizing urban resource allocation.At the same time,green finance and public environmental attention have formed a synergistic effect,jointly improving the development level of new quality productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.(3)Heterogeneity analysis results indicate that green finance has a more significant impact on the new quality pro-ductivity of downstream cities that have a high level of economic development,possess strong collaborative innovation capabilities,and have a high level of marketization.关键词
