Abstract
Wangxian Bridge and the Old Locust Tree are two major cultural landscapes associated with Dong Yong legend.Wangxian Bridge, symbolizing Dong Yong's son's longing for his mother, has transformed from an ancient bridge into a newly reconstructed one. This transformation is not merely a change in physical form, but also a manifestation of filial piety toward mothers and a continuation of folk memory of Confucian values centered on filial piety. The evolution of this landscape reflects society's enduring aspiration for family harmony. The Old Locust Tree, serving as a bridge between the celestial and human realms in the legend,is a central element in the Dong Yong narrative.Over time,it has evolved from a mythical cosmic tree into a sentient symbol of romantic destiny, reflecting popular reverence for supernatural forces. As two iconic cultural landscapes of Dong Yong legend, the transformations of Wangxian Bridge and the Old Locust Tree have not only reinforced the narrative structure of the legend, but also deepened societal identification with its cultural values,in particular filial piety and love through spatial representation and reconstruction. This collective identification enables Dong Yong legend to continue transmitting its cultural significance in contemporary society, radiating timeless charm and demonstrating the renewal and transformation of traditional culture in the modern era, while continuously conveying enduring traditional values.关键词
