摘要

Abstract

Compared with the traditional rubbed polyimide alignment technology,inorganic alignment technology(IAT)offers advantages such as high-temperature resistance,ultraviolet stability,and long-term reliability.At present,IAT has become an important development trend in the liquid crystal display(LCD)industry,and it shows broad application prospects in high-end display fields including laser displays and liquid crystal on silicon(LCoS)devices.This paper reviews the development,core technologies,and applications of inorganic alignment technology for liquid crystals.First,the background and working principles of liquid crystal display technology are briefly introduced.Second,the preparation processes and material selection of inorganic alignment films are discussed in detail.Then,the applications of IAT in both display and non-display fields are further explored,with emphasis on high-resolution LCoS devices and projectors.Finally,the current development status and application prospects of IAT are summarized,and future technical improvements are also presented.
