摘要

Abstract

Animals with hyperuricemia are the foundation for the study of gout and related diseases.This article,based on recent researche,summarized the advantages and disadvantages of these animals as models for hyperuricemia study,focusing on uricase-deficient mice and rats.Due to the high similarity between uric acid metabolism in uricase-deficient animals(especially rats)and in humans,and the avoidance of interference from modeling agents,uricase-deficient animals are preferred animals for experimental research on hyperuricemia and gout.Uricase-deficient animals with different levels of serum uric acid will meet the needs of different research requirements if inbreed sublines are successfully established.Uricase-deficient animals is expected to play a more important role in the mechanism research,drug screening and new prevention and treatment strategies development of gout and related metabolic disorders.
