摘要

Abstract

Vascular dysfunction can cause a variety of diseases,seriously threatening human health and even life.Huangqi(Astragali Radix),known as"a qi tonic with blood-regulating effects",promotes blood circulation with qi tonifying effects and regulates blood vessels,and has been widely accepted and applied by the public since ancient times.As one of the Chinese medicines of food and medicine homology,the main active ingredients of Huangqi(Astragali Radix)include Astragalus polysaccharide,astragaloside Ⅳ,formononetin,calycosin,and kumatakenin.The mechanisms of action include anti-oxidative stress,inhibition of inflammation,anti-endothelial cell senescence,inhibition of proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells,promotion of angiogenesis,and improvement of blood glucose and lipid metabolism to protect blood vessels.It has the characteristics of many targets,complex components,and joint action of multiple pathways.By summarizing the vascular protective effects and specific mechanisms of Huangqi(Astragali Radix)and its active ingredients,this paper provides a reference for the functional mechanism of Huangqi(Astragali Radix)as a functional food and the application and development of new products.
