葛根功能食品改善小鼠肾阳虚型少精症的研究
Effects of Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix)functional food on oligozoospermia with kidney yang deficiency pattern in mice

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the potential improvement effects of Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix)functional food on oligozoospermia of kidney yang deficiency pattern in mice induced by hydrocortisone.Methods ICR mice were randomly divided into the control group,model group,Jinkui Shenqi Pill group(1.7 g/kg),and low-,medium-,and high-dose Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix)functional food groups(1.3,1.5,and 1.9 g/kg).A kidney yang deficiency model was established by intraperitoneal injection of hydrocortisone.During the administration period,body weight,spontaneous activity counts,and grip strength of mice in each group were monitored regularly.After the administration,the organ index,creatinine(Cr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),estradiol(E2),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),malondialdehyde(MDA)activity in the kidney,sperm count,and nitric oxide(NO),and nitric oxide synthase(NOS)levels in the penile tissues of mice in each group were detected.Results Compared with the normal group,the body weight,spontaneous activity counts,and grip strength of mice in the model group were significantly decreased,the expression levels of SOD and GSH-Px in the kidney were decreased,the expression levels of NO and NOS in the penile tissue were decreased,the sperm count was significantly reduced,and the expression levels of Cr,BUN,E2,and MDA in the kidney were significantly increased,with all results showing significance(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the body weight,spontaneous activity counts,grip strength,the expression levels of SOD,GSH-Px,NO,and NOS in the kidney of mice in the low-,medium-and high-dose Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix)functional food groups and Jinkui Shenqi Pill group were significantly increased,along with significant decreases in MDA,Cr,BUN,and E2 levels,and a significant increase in sperm count,with statistical significance(P<0.05 orP<0.01).Conclusion Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix)functional food can improve kidney function and treat kidney yang deficiency-induced oligozoospermia by regulating oxidative stress levels in mice.关键词
