Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of heart failure in hemodialysis patients. Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data from 200 hemodialysis patients enrolled at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Henan Provincial People's Hospital between January 2024 and January 2025.Patients were divided into a heart failure group(n=66)and a non-heart failure group(n=134)according to the presence of heart failure. The heart failure group was further divided into a good-prognosis group(n=35)and a poor-prognosis group(n=31)based on recovery status during follow-up.Baseline characteristics were compared between the heart failure and non-heart failure groups, and factors influencing prognosis were assessed between the good-and poor-prognosis groups. Results The heart failure group had higher mean age, higher systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP),and higher proportions of comorbid hypertension and diabetes than the non-heart failure group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Compared with the good-prognosis group, the poor-prognosis group had lower hemoglobin and plasma albumin levels, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression showed that,in hemodialysis patients, low hemoglobin, low serum albumin, and high NT-proBNP levels are independent risk factors for poor heart-failure prognosis(P<0.05).Conclusion In hemodialysis patients, heart failure is closely linked to age and comorbid hypertension or diabetes;low hemoglobin, low serum albumin, and elevated NT-proBNP are key indicators of poor prognosis. Thus, clinicians should closely monitor and actively intervene on these risk factors to improve outcomes of heart failure in this population.关键词
