Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of regular oral health education combined with oral care in chronic periodontitis patients after implant restoration.Methods A total of 94 chronic periodontitis patients who received implant restoration at the AnYang People's Hospital NO.6 from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into a control group(oral care)and an observation group(oral care combined with regular oral health education)using a random number table,with 47 cases in each group.The periodontal indices,Self-Efficacy Scale for Oral Self-Care(SESS),Oral Health Impact Profile-14(OHIP-14),and nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing care,the gingival index(GI),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),plaque index(PLI),and probing depth(PD)of both groups decreased,and the observation group had lower values than the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After nursing care,the SESS scores of both groups increased,with the observation group having higher scores than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After nursing care,the OHIP-14 scores of both groups decreased,with the observation group having lower scores than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Regular oral health education combined with oral care after implant restoration in chronic periodontitis patients can improve their periodontal indices,enhance self-efficacy,and improve oral health-related quality of life.关键词
