Abstract

This experiment was to study the effects of lysine on the growth performance and serum biochemical indicators of broilers.A total of 384 healthy one-day-old male Cobb broilers were randomly allocated into 4 groups.During the 0~3-week period,the broilers were fed diets with lysine levels of 1.25%,1.30%,1.35%,and 1.40%,while during the 4~6-week period,the lysine levels were adjusted to 1.20%,1.25%,1.30%,and 1.35%.Conclusions:During the 0~3-week period,1.35%lysine significantly improved the final body weight and the average daily gain(P<0.05).In the 4~6-week period,1.30%lysine significantly reduced the feed-to-gain ratio(P<0.05).The diet with 1.35%lysine during 0~3 weeks and 1.30%lysine during 4~6 weeks significantly increased the breast muscle yield,alanine aminotransferase activity(P<0.05).The optimal lysine levels for white-feathered broilers are 1.35%for 0~3 weeks period and 1.30%for 4~6 weeks period.
