摘要

Abstract

In order to identify causes leading to acute death of yellow cattle in Tengchong City of Yunnan Province from March 2023 to March 2024,tissue samples including heart,lung,brain,etc.were collected from one dead case for metagenomic next-generation sequencing(mNGS)after eliminating infection with relevant pathogens.Based on the mNGS results,primers for PCR amplification were designed,and the full-length genome sequence of the pathogen was obtained through PCR amplification,followed by phylogenetic analysis.The results revealed that the sequences of bovine adenovirus type 7(BAdV-7)were detected from the tissue samples,and one complete genome sequence of 30 006 bp(YN-BAdV7)was obtained through PCR amplification;the sequence was 99.6%identical to the nucleotide sequence of German reference strain(OM677816.1)isolated in 2022 and U.S.reference strain(MN901942.2)in 2021,and clustered within the same evolutionary branch as the strains prevalent in Europe and America,obviously different from other types of adenoviruses.In conclusion,BAdV-7 was prevalent in Tengchong City,closely and genetically linking to the strains prevalent in Europe and America,which was likely responsible for the acute death of local cattle.It was thereby recommended to reduce farmers' losses by improving traceability,prevention and control against its infection.
