Effects of long-term intercropping and phosphorus application on grain micronutrient content
摘要
Abstract
To investigate the effects of long-term intercropping and phosphorus(P)application on the grain acquisition of micronutrients, this study was carried out based on a long-term field experiment since 2009.The changes in the content and concentration of iron(Fe),manganese(Mn),copper(Cu)and zinc(Zn)were analyzed using ICP-OES method under intercropping systems with different experimental year(5th year, the short term, and 13th year, the long term)and P application rates(pure P amount:0,40 and 80 kg/hm2).The results showed that:1)Intercropping and P application significantly enhanced 4 grain micronutrient content by 28%-38%,but long-term cropping significantly reduced Fe,Cu,and Zn content by 18%-63%;2)Long-term cultivation significantly decreased 4 grain micronutrient concentrations by 36%on average, which may primarily due to soil micronutrient depletion;3)Intercropping improved Mn,Zn,and Cu concentrations via interspecific complementarity and facilitation(RII>0),and a synergistic trend observed between either Mn and Fe or Mn and Zn.These findings suggest that optimizing P management and intercropping can enhance micronutrient content through interspecific interactions. In a word,long-term sustainability in agroecosystems requires the application of micronutrient fertilization to counteract soil depletion.关键词
