Comprehensive geophysical exploration methods and application effects for gold deposits in the graphite covered area of Northwest Jiaodong

Abstract
[Objective]Zhaoping metallogenic belt is an important ore conducting structure in the northwestern region of Jiaodong,with superior geological conditions for mineralization.In the Nanshu area of the Zhaoping metallogenic belt,gold deposits are hidden beneath graphite deposits.Due to the extremely low electrical resistivity of graphite deposits,some electromagnetic signals from electromagnetic methods are shielded from penetrating downwards,resulting in electromagnetic signals stopping at the graphite deposit site and making it impossible to detect gold deposits hidden beneath graphite deposits.In order to clarify the deep occurrence and mineralization characteristics of the gold deposits in Nanshu area and better guide the next step of gold exploration in the area,feasible and effective geophysical exploration methods need to be selected.[Methods]This article aims to comprehensively analyze and study deep gold deposits in graphite ore extremely low resistance shielding areas through the use of conventional gravity magnetic method and new technologies such as wide area electromagnetic method,microseismic natural source surface wave method,and spectral induced polarization method.[Results]A comprehensive geophysical fine prospecting method for gold deposits in graphite ore-covered areas was optimized.The planar and deep spatial distribution characteristics of the Zhaoping metallogenic belt from the perspective of multi-source data fusion were determined,and the locations of induced polarization anomalies for gold deposits were delineated.[Conclusions]Through drilling and analysis,the accuracy of the inferred location of the gold induced polarization anomaly has been verified,achieving a new breakthrough in deep mineral exploration in extremely low resistance shielding areas.关键词
