Impact of coordinated digital and green transformation on green and low-carbon in-novation of export enterprises
摘要
Abstract
Coordinated digital and green transformation is an important tool for implementing the"dual carbon"strategic goals,and ac-celerating the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.It is a powerful measure for actively responding to the trend of trade digitization and greening and improving the institutional mechanism for high-level opening.Furthermore,it is an in-trinsic requirement for resolving China's resource,environmental,and ecological issues while constructing a modernization of harmoni-ous coexistence between humanity and nature.This study took Chinese non-financial listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2022 as the research object and examined the impact of coordinated digital and green transformation on green low-carbon inno-vation of export enterprises.The results showed that:① Coordinated digital and green transformation significantly promoted green and low-carbon innovation of export enterprises,and this conclusion still held after a series of robustness tests and addressing endogeneity issues.② This promotion effect showed pronounced asymmetry.The promotion effect was more pronounced for large-scale,state-owned,and those with a high level of coordinated digital and green transformation.③ Coordinated digital and green transformation af-fected the green and low-carbon innovation of export enterprises successively in five dimensions:elements,technology,organization,ecology,and fields.④ Coordinated digital and green transformation of focal enterprises significantly promoted green and low-carbon in-novation of upstream export enterprises and inhibited green and low-carbon innovation of downstream ones.Coordinated digital and green transformation of upstream export enterprises significantly promoted green and low-carbon innovation of focal enterprises.The above findings provide important insights and guidelines for promoting green and low-carbon innovation of export enterprises under the pattern of high-quality development,actively responding to the trend of trade digitalization and greening,and improving the institutional mechanism for high-level opening up.They also provide a practical basis for improving the mechanism of green and low-carbon develop-ment of export enterprises and realizing green and low-carbon innovation of the entire industrial chain supply chain from the perspec-tive of coordinated digital and green transformation.关键词
