Comparison of the efficacy and safety of CO2 laser and fire needle in the treatment of moderate to severe inflammatory acne
摘要
Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of CO2 laser and fire needle in the treatment of moderate to severe inflammatory acne. Methods A total of 120 acne patients from the dermatology outpatient department, acne outpatient department, and traditional Chinese medicine outpatient department of our hospital from January 2024 to December 2024 were randomly divided into a CO2 laser group and a fire needle group, with 60 cases in each group. The CO2 laser group received only laser treatment, while the fire needle group received only fire needle treatment.Photos were taken for each patient before treatment and at 3 days,7 days,14 days, and 28 days after treatment to evaluate the therapeutic effect. At the same time, the occurrence rate of adverse reactions after treatment was observed, and a safety analysis was conducted. Results The final results showed that both groups had significant improvement in acne lesions after treatment. The total effective rate of the CO2 laser group was 90%,and that of the fire needle group was 88.33%,with no significant difference,P>0.05.Satisfaction comparison:The satisfaction rate of the CO2 laser group(91.67%)was significantly higher than that of the fire needle group(85.00%).Pain score:The VAS score of the CO2 laser group was 2.8±0.7,and that of the fire needle group was 5.2±1.1.The pain level of the CO2 laser group was significantly lower than that of the fire needle group, and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test was used,P<0.05,with statistical significance.Adverse reaction rate:The incidence rate of the fire needle group was 26.67%,significantly higher than that of the laser group(16.67%)(P=0.002).Conclusions The overall efficacy of CO2 laser and fire needle in the treatment of moderate to severe acne is similar, but there are differences in safety.CO2 laser is more suitable for patients who prefer comfortable treatment and are sensitive to pain;fire needle is suitable for acne in the acute inflammatory stage, but the risk of pigmentation in dark-skinned people should be noted.Clinically, individualized treatment plans can be formulated based on the type of skin lesions, skin tolerance, and treatment goals of patients.关键词
