Abstract

Objective To construct a characteristic evaluation system for the evaluation of the teaching effect of pharmacy courses,aiming to improve the teaching evaluation in the teaching process of pharmacy,which is difficult to reflect the triple dimensions,difficult to correspond to the teaching objectives one by one,and other problems.Methods Based on the concept of outcome-based education(OBE),the authors of this paper sorted out the objectives of the course,designed characteristic teaching activities,and innovated the evaluation methods of the course,and formed a characteristic evaluation system by comprehensively applying grade analysis,goal attainment analysis,and questionnaires.Results Using this evaluation system for teaching effectiveness assessment,the results show that under the blended teaching model,students'final exam scores and overall grades were significantly higher than those under the traditional teaching model(P<0.001),while there was no statistically significant difference in process-based scores(P>0.05).The achievement of the course objectives has exceeded 0.8.A questionnaire survey shows that 80.4%of students believe that this teaching design can stimulate learning interest,and 85.1%of students believe that this teaching design improves learning attitude and enhances learning efficiency and effectiveness.Word cloud analysis shows that after learning,students'frequency of mentioning key vocabulary in pharmacy significantly increases,and the number of mentions related to the quality requirements and scientific spirit connotation of pharmaceutical practitioners also significantly increases compared to before the course.Conclusion The evaluation model proposed in this study can provide experience and ideas for the curriculum construction of specialized courses in higher pharmacy education.
