Research on issues related to musical temperament in Huangdi Neijing's seventh chapters on Yunqi
摘要
Abstract
Huangdi Neijing's seven chapters on Yunqi involves many terms from the study of musical temperament.Currently, the mainstream view of the academic community regards these terms only as borrowed symbols,to refer to the excess or deficiency of the five circuits. However,by research on the literature of the Han to the Tang dynasty,it can be found that ancient musical temperament is closely related to calendars.Changes in pitch can reflect seasonal and climatic variations, and actually embody the five circuits. The terms from the study of musical temperament in Huangdi Neijing's seven chapters on Yunqi have their unique connotations in the theory of five circuits and six qi.For example,'Tai and Shao'do not simply express the'excess or deficiency'of Zhongyun, but rather expresses the result of the measurement of the clarity and pitch of the sound at the time of qi's passing,to judge the advance or delay of qi arrival. The concept of'tong zheng'that appears in the chapter of five circuits and six qi actually refers not to the year of ping qi as understood by former scholars, but to the year when the measured sound is consistent with the standard pitch at the time of qi's passing.关键词
