Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of thunder-fire moxibustion on clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with severe pneumonia.Methods A total of 68 patients with severe pneumonia admitted to the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,Guangzhou Medical University from May 2021 to May 2024 were selected using a simple random sampling method,and a retrospective analysis was conducted on the data.The patients were divided into two groups according to the nursing program.The control group(n=34)received routine nursing,and the observation group(n=34)received the intervention of thunder-fire moxibustion on the basis of nursing given to the control group.The disappearance time of clinical symptoms,quality of life,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores and inflammatory factor levels of the two groups were compared.Results Compared with the control group,the disappearance time of fever,cough,expectoration,short breath,and gasping in the observation group was earlier.After the intervention,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,and the C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)and white blood cell(WBC)count levels of the observation group were significantly lower,and the Short Form-36 Health Survey(SF-36)score of the observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of thunder-fire moxibustion can effectively promote the regression of clinical symptoms in patients with severe pneumonia,significantly improve the quality of life of patients,and greatly reduce the inflammatory factor levels.关键词
