摘要

Abstract

To solve the problem of cracking and deterioration of semi-arid and seasonal frozen soil silty clay,different amounts of xanthan gum were used to solidify brown fiber silty clay,and digital image processing technology was used to quantify the macroscopic cracks of the sample,exploring the influence of changes in xanthan gum content on the development of cracks in brown fiber silty clay.The experimental results show that when the mass fraction of xanthan gum is 0.3%,the water evaporation rate of the sample is the slo-west,and xanthan gum is adsorbed between brown fiber and powdery clay particles,enhancing the bonding force between the two and improving its tensile performance,thereby achieving the effect of restraining crack development;With the increase of xanthan gum content,the surface crack ratio,average crack width,and total crack length of the freeze-thaw group all decrease,while crack development is still inhibited.By revealing the cracking mode of solidified silty clay,reference is provided for its engineering characteristic a-nalysis and the application of soil crack resistance technology based on solidified materials.
