Abstract

In order to identify the low-pressure rotor typical faults of aeroengines at an early stage,a new low-pressure rotor typical fault diagnosis method based on the dynamic rotational speed signals from the aeroengine self-monitoring system and the gradient boosting algorithm is proposed.A typical fault simulation test system for low-pressure rotors is established.By simulating typical fault conditions,the influence mechanisms of dynamic balance change faults and clearance change faults on the dynamic output signals of magneto-electricity rotation-al speed sensors is explored through experiment,revealing the correlation between these two types of typical faults and the changes in dynamic signal features of sensor,which verifies the feasibility of identifying low-pres-sure rotor typical faults by using the rotational speed signals from the aeroengine self-monitoring system,and makes real-time online fault diagnosis possible.Based on the proposed new fault diagnosis method,an early fault identification system for low-pressure rotor dynamic balance change fault and clearance change fault is de-veloped,and the fault data of two typical faults obtained by simulation test are further identified,with the recog-nition accuracy reaches 88%and 92%,respectively.This method provides a new theoretical basis and imple-mentation means for low-pressure rotor typical fault prediction and diagnosis of aeroengines,which can ensure the flight safety of aircraft.
