普惠金融的收入分配效应
Income Distribution Effects of Financial Inclusion
摘要
Abstract
Inclusive financial development can mobilize savings,gather social idle funds,promote effective allocation of financial resources,and can significantly improve quality and efficiency of financial services.Based on panel data of emerging economies in Latin America from 1997 to 2023,it empirically analyzes impact and mechanism of inclusive financial development on national income,income gap and distribution.The results show that inclusive financial development can significantly raise level of national income and favor income distribution.On average,for every increase of 1 unit in inclusive financial development,the level of national income increases by 0.336 units.The impact of inclusive financial development on national income varies significantly within Latin America,with inclusive financial development contributing to boosting national income in Brazil,Chile,Colombia,Costa Rica,Honduras,and Peru but not so significant in Argentina,Bolivia,and Mexico.Digital technology innovation,labor force participation,and information technology all play a positive moderating role in financial inclusion for income growth.Inclusive financial development can significantly reduce income gap and social poverty rates,and can lower the poverty headcount ratio by providing financial support to the poor.Inclusive financial development will also reduce income level of groups with higher income shares and increase that with lower income shares.Moreover,inclusive financial development has a significant income distribution effect.关键词
