Meta-Analysis of Correlation Between Internet Addiction and Gender Differ-ences Among College Students
摘要
Abstract
Objective To assess internet addiction among college students,and to explore the correlation between gender differences and Internet addiction among college students.To provide basis for improving the mental health level of college students and preventing col-lege students from Internet addiction.Methods Retrieving the databases of Pubmed and CNKI by computer,the clinical research on In-ternet Addiction of college students was carried out,and the meta-analysis was carried out by using the statistical software RevMan 5.3.Results Four studies were finally included,with a total sample of 1618 cases,including 201 Internet addicts(109 boys and 92 girls).Meta-analysis showed that the number of male college students with internet addiction was significantly higher than that of female college students,with statistical significance[P=0.003,OR=2.18,95%CI(1.31,3.64)].Conclusion Internet addiction among college students is significantly associated with gender differences.Male college students face higher risks of internet addiction.关键词
