Research progress on the effects and influencing factors of repeated cryopreservation-thawing on human sperm
摘要
Abstract
Repeated sperm cryopreservation is an effective approach to maximize the utilization of limited sperm resources,offering a valuable option for men who can no longer provide sperm.The cry opreservation of any viable sperm is worthwhile,as intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)for each oocyte requires only a single sperm cell.After the first thawing of frozen semen for use in assisted reproductive technology(ART),motile sperm often remain available.This re-view summarizes the detrimental effects of repeated freeze-thaw cycles on human sperm motility,viability,morphology,and DNA integrity,as well as the influencing factors,aiming to provide references and recommendations for the reuse and re-cryopreservation of surplus sperm in ART.关键词
