Abstract

The structural integrity analysis of nozzleless booster grain is an important part of the development of an integral solid rocket ramjet.In order to study the mechanical response of nozzleless booster grain under temperature and pressure load,a three-di-mensional linear viscoelastic finite element model was used to analyze the structural integrity of the nozzleless booster grain of a solid rocket ramjet under 0℃ambient temperature.The simulation results were verified by CT detection and ignition test.The results show that the three-dimensional model is more accurate than the two-dimensional model under temperature load,and the head of the grain can meet the requirement of structural integrity without designing a stress release structure.The Mises stress on the grain is discontinuous at the high-low burning rate interface.The most dangerous area of the grain is located on the inner surface of the low burning rate grain;under internal pressure load,the end surface is squeezed out,and the most dangerous area is located at the con-nection between the low burning rate grain and the convex platform of thermal barrier;under the combined load of temperature and pressure,the most dangerous area is located on the inner surface of the high burning rate grain.The analysis results provide some reference value for the design of other nozzleless rocket motors.
