摘要

Abstract

This study investigated the significant effects of four typical metal cations,namely K+,Ca2+,Na+,and Mg2+,as nucleating agents on the synthesis of silver nanowires(AgNWs)using a polyol method.The structure and morphology of synthesized AgNWs were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM),ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The impact of these four cations,which ranked high in terms of metal reactivity,on the controlled release of Ag+and their influence on the variations in morphology observed in formed AgNWs were discussed.The results indicated that cations of highly reactive metals had a greater impact on the high purity of AgNWs.This work presented a simple,effective,and controllable method for producing highly pure AgNWs with different aspect ratios.
