Synthesis and Performance of Naphthalimide-based Aggregation Induced Emission Materials

Abstract
To address the issue that traditional fluorescent materials are limited in application due to Aggregation-caused quenching effect in the solid state or at high concentrations,this study designed and synthesized two organic fluorescent small molecules,TN and TPEN,based on the napthalimide structure.The precise structures of the target molecules were confirmed through characterization with 1H-NMR and MALDI-TOF.Through the study of their photophysical properties,TN and TPEN exhibit a significant fluorescence enhancement effect in the aggregated state:the fluorescence intensity in the aggregated state was as high as 2.2 and 204 times that in the dilute solution.At the same time,both TN and TPEN exhibit piezochromic luminescence.After grinding,the luminescent color of TN changes from yellow to green,with a blue shift of 34 nm,while the luminescent color of TPEN changes from blue to green,with a red shift of 32 nm.The differences in structures of the two types of AIE materials exhibit different effects,providing new molecular design ideas for the development of high-performance solid-state luminescent and Piezochromic luminescence materials.关键词
