Preparation and Photocatalytic Performance of Cu-Cu2O/Cu2Se Nanosheets

Abstract
Photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants can effectively eliminate their potential hazards to the water ecosystem and human health.In this paper,composite photocatalysts of Cu-Cu2O/Cu2Se(CCS)nanosheets were prepared via a solvothermal reaction,and their morphologies and chemical properties were characterized by a scanning electron microscopy,a transmission electron microscopy,a UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The results showed the obtained CCS sample exhibited the most excellent photocatalytic activity and its degradation reaction rate for methyl orange(MO)was 4.1 times that of Cu-Cu2O,when the molar content of SeO2 was 3%.The heterostructure formed between Cu2O and Cu2Se could significantly improve photogenerated-carriers separation efficiency,which would result in an enhanced photocatalytic activity.关键词
