Etiology and Pathogenesis of Psycho-cardiological Disease Based on Six-Meridian Differentiation

Abstract
Psycho-cardiological Disease manifests as a vicious cycle between cardiovascular symptoms(dysfunction of the Heart's blood vessels)and psychological disorders(dysfunction of the Heart's spirit),with the core pathogenesis being the combined affliction of the body and mind.The Six Meridians differentiation is based on meridians,Qi and blood of Zang and Fu,with the material foundation of the Six Meridians(Taiyang,Yangming,Shaoyang,Taiyin,Shaoyin,Jueyin)as a framework to construct a pathological model that en-compasses Yin and Yang,interior and exterior,Cold and Heat,deficiency and excess.Through a three-dimensional network of"meridi-ans-Zang and Fu-Qi and blood,the precise understanding of the pathogenesis of"body-mind combined dysfunction"in psycho-cardiological disease.Across temporal and spatial dimensions,the six meridians can reveal the pathological mechanisms and progression patterns of psycho-cardiological disease caused by meridian lesions based on symptoms in the body,psychology,and spirit.This leads to a summarized approach to psycho-cardiological disease by using Six Meridians differentiation.For example,in psycho-cardiological disease involving the three Yang meridians,most cardiovascular symptoms are caused by imbalances in Qi and blood,often representing functional abnormalities of the Heart,or discomfort originating from adjacent Zang and Fu organ as well as meridian lesions.The psycho-logical and mental disorders are primarily anxiety,often presenting as irritability,anger,and easy agitation.In cases of psycho-cardio-logical disease with Three Yin syndrome,the cardiovascular symptoms are often seen in the later stages of clinical heart diseases,or the related chronic diseases of the internal organs gradually affect the heart,resulting in a longer disease course and a more severe condi-tion.Mental and psychological disorders are mainly characterized by anxiety,often manifesting as constant apprehension,nervousness,restlessness,difficulty concentrating,excessive worrying,or other negative emotions.The dynamic progression thinking of the Six meridi-an syndrome differentiation of"treating disease under guidance of syndrome"is used as the framework breaking the"cardiovascular-psychological"dualistic model,which provides systematic theoretical support and practical guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of the psycho-cardiological diseases and offers an innovative path within the traditional medicine paradigm,with a high degree of applica-bility.关键词
