Advantages and Prospects of 3D Facial Recognition Technology in Assisting Traditional Chinese Medicine Face Diagnosis

Abstract
Observation diagnosis is one of the four diagnostic methods in traditional Chinese medicine,with face diagnosis being the most important within inspection.Currently,research on the objectification of TCM facial diagnosis mainly focuses on four aspects:facial color extraction,facial gloss extraction,facial image segmentation and regional localization,and local inspection.In recent years,although ob-jective techniques for TCM facial diagnosis have made some progress,there are still some issues,such as insufficient depth of research,inadequate and unsystematic study of quantified facial features,limited diagnostic accuracy which can be easily affected by complex en-vironmental factors like lighting,and the lack of large-scale databases and unified standards,leading to insufficient reliability of re-search results.3D facial recognition technology can accurately capture information such as facial texture,height,and muscle thickness,enabling objective and quantitative analysis of facial features,and may become an important auxiliary tool for TCM facial diagnosis.Therefore,incorporating it into the digital TCM facial diagnosis system holds significant importance in promoting the objectification,standardization,and modernization of TCM face diagnosis.关键词
